PUNICA GRANATUM (Pomegranate)

Spiny shrub or small rounded tree. Over a long period in summer it bears funnel shaped bright orange or red 1.5 inch flowers across followed by edible fruit to 5 inches across. up to 20' tall and 15' wide.

Supposedly hardy zones 8-10.
I have never over wintered this plant outside so it is not recommended.

Suggested care:
Grow in fertile well drained soil in full sun. Needs warm fall temperatures for fruit to ripen.
