Passiflora jamesonii
(Coral Seas Passionflower)
One of the most vigorous, fastest growing Passion flower vines. Showy flowers
to 4" across are well displayed, covering the outside of the plant from spring
through fall. Very attractive to hummingbirds.
Supposedly hardy in zone 8 or 9. Not recommended as I have not tried to over
winter outdoors. I would either plant on a covered south facing wall or treat
as a tropical.
Recommended care:
This plant is damaged below 27°F, but resprouts from the roots at even
colder temperatures. Fertilize at least once every two weeks in the growing
season. In cool climates should be over wintered on a warm south facing window.
