CITRUS
LIMON 'PONDEROSA'
Rare.
This is a dwarf evergreen tropical shrub. It can very easily be grown indoors
and moved out in summer. It has white very fragrant flowers up to 2 inches
across, followed by huge grapefruit sized Lemons. The fruit have said to
be up to 5 pounds each. It gets to a maximum of 5' tall and wide and can
be easily pruned to be kept at any desirable height.
Hardy
to zone 9. Minimum 3-5 degrees Celsius.
Recommended care:
Keep
it well watered and in a warm, sunny location. Plant in a well drained, fertile
soil mix with part sand. Fertilize at least twice monthly in the growing
season with Citrus fertilizer. In Spring put outdoors after all chances of
frost have gone, in fall bring indoors before all chances of frost come.
